How to Restore Objects from Optical Volume

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document explains what is necessary to specify in order to restore objects from optical volume.

Resolving The Problem

Saving to optical drive system automatically stores data to an unique path. This path name has the following form:

/directory name/subdirectory name/../filename

When restoring an object from optical, you need to specify the path name. For example, when restoring a library from optical volume, you must specify the optical file plus '/' and the library name, and it is case sensitive.

Example

RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(mylib) DEV(OPT02X) VOL(BACKUP) OPTFILE('BRMSOPTSAV7666331090723000139B10153EA/mylib')
