Problem

Error "I18NRuntimeError:-14:Fatal: The specified localized pattern is invalid." is an error, known to be returned when format patterns/format strings are used for measures in MSAS. As of IBM Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.2 FP4 changes have been introduced, to resolve pattern errors through a configuration option. The configuration needs to be done in ..\configuration\qfs_config.xml and is simply mapping the format string of MSAS to a compatible format pattern. This technote will describe how to identifiy the values required for the configuration and where to make the configuration changes. This technote is only applicable to Compatible Query Mode.
