Question & Answer
Question
A library has been removed from the lnklst. The current LINKLIST set is LNKLSTOX. D PROG,LNKLST CSV470I 17.01.52 LNKLST DISPLAY 708 LNKLST SET LNKLSTOX LNKAUTH=LNKLST Here are the current sets: D PROG,LNKLST,NAMES CSV472I 11.01.42 LNKLST DISPLAY 101 LNKLST SET LNKLST SET LNKLST SET LNKLST SET LNKLSTD1 LNKLSTOE LNKLSTO2 LNKLSTO3 LNKLSTO4 LNKLSTO5 LNKLSTO6 LNKLSTOX A display of D PROG,LNKLST,USERS,NOTCURRENT shows CSV483I ALL LNKLST USERS ARE USING THE CURRENT LNKLST SET After issuing a D PROG,LNKLST, the dataset in question is clearly not in the LINKLIST, however we cannot delete it as it is enqueued by LLA. A ISPF SHOWENQ shows: ,SHOWENQ ===>, *********************************************************** Top of Data ************************************ LLA DEV1 SHARE OWN SYSTEMS GLOBAL SYSDSN SYS5.DEV1.CERDX.V1500.BASE.LOAD I also issued a SETPROG unallocate and allocate with the same results. So, do you have any suggestions?
Answer
A LNKLST dataset continue to be managed by LLA even when it is no longer part of any active LNKLST.
A 'D LLA' should show this library as still being LLA managed.
If you want LLA to no longer manage and to drop its allocation of a dataset you have dynamically removed from a LNKLST set, you must issue a MODIFY LLA,UPDATE=xx pointing to a CSVLLAxx member specifying the REMOVE keyword for the library removed from the LNKLST.
