Summary

Data Protection for VMware currently uses scheduled operations for running tag-based backups of VMs. However, a manual tag-based backup operation is sometimes needed, such as when a scheduled backup fails. This article includes a Perl script that generates the BACKUP VM commands needed to back up VMs that are tagged for backup by the specified data mover node name.
