How to log into Cognos Connection as different users in a SSO environment

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer has Single Signon (SSO) enabled so that no users are asked for their username/password. However, the customer would like to experiment with the system by logging on with different users (e.g. because they want to test user's access permissions in the portal).

Symptom

When users launch Cognos Connection all users are automatically logged onto Cognos as their Windows user (they are not prompted to choose their user).
