How do I locate the installation directory of an IBM SPSS desktop product on MacOS operating systems?
Answer
The following instructions refer to the default installation directory for IBM SPSS products.
IF the product is not installed to the default directory THEN adjust the instructions to account for the non-default installation location.
In the following instructions replace <product version> with the actual version number of the product (example: 24).
IBM SPSS Modeler
/Applications/IBM/SPSS/Modeler/<product version>/SPSSModeler.app/Contents/bin
IBM SPSS Statistics up to version 26
/Applications/IBM/SPSS/<product version>/SPSSStatistics.app/Contents/bin/

To access the installation directory:
- Open Finder.
- Select the 'Go' menu.
- Select the 'Applications' menu entry.
- Navigate to the 'IBM' folder.
- Navigate to the 'SPSS' folder.
- Navigate to the folder corresponding to the product name.
- Navigate to the folder corresponding to the product version.
- Locate the program launch icon (example: SPSSStatistics).
- Press and hold the Control (Ctrl) key on the keyboard.
- Select the program launch icon. A drop-down menu with a number of menu entries will appear.
- Release the Control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard.
- Select 'Show Package Contents' menu entry.
- Select the "Contents" folder.
- Select the 'bin' folder.
