This document outlines the steps required to increase the size of disk allocated to a specific Planning Analytics Database
Steps
It is not possible to change the disk size once a Planning Analytics Database instance has been created. Instead, the instance must be recreated and desired disk size specified.

- Ensure a recent Planning Analytics Database backup has been created

- It is not enough to only generate a backup, you must download the backup file locally (to be uploaded/restored later)
- Failure to download a local copy of the backup will result in the backup being lost when the database instance is recreated
- Delete the Planning Analytics Database instance
- Do not delete without ensuring you have downloaded a local backup and that the local backup file is valid (.tar.gz file can be opened)
- Create Planning Analytics Database instance with desired disk size
- Upload local Planning Analytics Database file to the recreate instance
- Restore the Planning Analytics Database from the backup file
- Once the restoration process has completed, the database will be started and available for use
