How to improve the data fetch rate when running jobs to extract data in DVM using JGATE?

Symptom

When fetching the data through DVM using JGATE, the data is fetched at a very low rate to the client application.

The job to fetch the data is waiting most of the times under MVS status of WAIT-MISC.

For example, OMEGAMON for Db2 report shows the below for the thread detail:

+ Thread Activity                                     
+ -------------------------------------   
+ DB2 Status            =    NOT-IN-DB2   
+ MVS Status            =     WAIT-MISC
