GIS iSeries limits their filenames to 10 bytes in the GIS database library there is a logical file called: SYSTABLES that holds both the real name and the cooresponding iSeries 10 bytes name for reference.

QUERY OR SQL the SYSTABLES logical file in the GIS DATABASE LIBRARY whereas the NAME field = Real/full name of file and SYS_TNAME = 10 bytes iSeries Table Name
