How to find Box-Cox parameters used in Interactive Data Preparation

Question & Answer

Question

I have run the Interactive Data Preparation (IDP) procedure in IBM Statistics (Transform>Prepare Data for Modeling>Interactive). In the Settings tab of the IDP dialogs, I have checked the boxes "Rescale Fields" and "Rescale a continuous target with a Box-Cox transformation to reduce skew". Suppose that the target variable is SALARY from the Employee Data.sav data file that is provided with IBM SPSS Statistics. I have taken the default Final Mean and Final Standard Deviation (SD) values of 0 and 1, respectively, for the transformed target.variable. When I click the Run button to run the procedure, the tranformed variable SALARY_TRANSFORMED is created in my data set. However, I see no output in the Viewer that indicates the value of Lambda, the power used in the Box-Cox transformation. How can I see the value of Lambda?
