How to export Launch Configurations from Eclipse

Question

How do you export workbench run configurations from the Eclipse SDK?

Answer

Instructions:

  1. Select the project in the Project Explorer
  2. Right-click
  3. Click Run As -> Run...
  4. Select the appropriate category
    i.e Java Application, Eclipse Application, C\C++ Local Application
  5. Right-click
  6. Click New
  7. Select the Common tab
  8. Select Shared file

  9. Click Apply
  10. Click Close
  11. *.launch file will be created under the project directory


When the project is imported into other workspaces, the launch configuration will appear in the Run wizard.
