Question
Spectrum RTM/Cacti provide an Export/Import tab which enables you to share and exchange template like graph template, data template, host template, threshold template and ELIM template. However, it does not support alert template.
Answer
You can follow the procedure below to export an alert template:
1. In Spectrum LSF RTM Web Portal, click Console->Templates->Alert Template.
2. In "Alert Templates Management" tab, choose the alert templates you want to export.
Note you can select one or multiple templates to export.
3. In the "Choose an action" option box, select "Export".
4. Click "Go" button.
The exported alert template is an XML file. If you export one alert template, the name of the XML file is grid_alarms_$TemplateName.xml, $TemplateName is your alert template name. However, if you export multiple alert templates, the exported XML file name is grid_alarms_multiple_templates.xml.
