Summary
SSL offloading is the process of removing the SSL based encryption from incoming traffic that a server receives to relieve it from decryption of data. By default SSL requests received by the Web Server will be forward to the WebSphere Application Server through the WebSphere plugin as an SSL request to WAS.
Enabling SSL offloading on WebSphere plugin will change the protocol from SSL to non-SSL between the Web Server and WAS.
