To enable logging in IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook Premium to troubleshoot.

Steps

If using i2 Analyst's Notebook Premium in a VM environment then make sure that your VM has at least two processors.

To turn on the logging in Analysts Notebook Premium for Analyze Opal deployment here is what you have to do.

Take a copy of the file “RuntimeConfiguration.properties” located in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM i2 ANB Premium 9\Opal\RuntimeConfiguration.properties

Paste it into the following folder:

C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\IBM i2\Enterprise Insight Analysis

Open the file at the location where it was pasted. Then change the value from “False” to “True” for the following.

DebugLogEnabled=True

DevToolsEnabled=True

A log file with the name “ClientMessages<with Date/Time stamp>.log” should be created in the same folder. i.e “C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\IBM i2\Enterprise Insight Analysis\”
