Starting with Norton version 9 and above the real-time filesystem protection is designed to re-enable itself by default 30 minutes after it is manually disabled.?
- To prevent this open the NAV console.
- Navigate to: Configure --> File system Auto-protect.
- Go to the Advanced button.
- Go to Startup options --> Symantec Antivirus Start.
- Go to Automatic Enabler.
- Un-check the When auto-protect is disabled enable after... check box.
- Save.
Be make sure autoprotect is disabled in main screen.
