How do I alter usermods for ++SAMP elements?

Question & Answer

Question

I am migrating from IMS V5 to IMS V6. Under IMS V5, I tracked and maintained the IMS exit usage through SMP/E. The elements for sample exits had an entry type of SRC. In the ++USERMOD, I coded ++SRCUPD to change the provided sample with the code I wanted. This allowed me to track/maintain the exit usage with SMP and let me know when the sample was being changed. In V6, though, some of the exits (like DFSYDRU0) are defined with the SMP entry type of SAMP. How do I alter my ++USERMOD, which used ++SRCUPD in V5, to work for the new entry type of SAMP?
