IBM Support

How do I allow the browsing of database through HTTP

Troubleshooting

Problem

During the EMD process, when you click the Run Query option, an exception message is displayed with the information: “NotesException: Server access denied".

Cause

The Domino server does not allow HTTP clients to browse databases.

Resolving The Problem

Configure the Domino server to allow HTTP clients to browse databases:

1. In IBM Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab.
2. Click to expand the Server node in the left pane, then click the Current Server Document.
3. Click the Internet Protocols tab. The HTTP tab is selected by default.
4. In the R5 Basics section, select Yes to allow HTTP clients to browse Domino databases.

The value only needs to be changed to YES when you build the Adapter. During the Adapter artifacts generation (the EMD part) process, the "allow HTTP clients to browse Domino databases" value must be set to YES. When Adapter is deployed and running, it is ok to change the value to NO, the Adapter will still work fine with the "allow HTTP clients to browse Domino databases" set to NO during runtime.
