How To Disable Watchdog Monitoring An Agent When On By Default

How To

Summary

Watchdog is a feature of the OS Agents which can monitor the OS Agent as well as other agents and restart them if they are not running when they should be.

In general, Watchdog is enabled for the OS Agents. Other agents typically ship a Watchdog CAP file that allows them to be managed by Watchdog, but the monitoring is disabled by default.

Recently an agent has started shipping their CAP file with Watchdog enabled by default. Customers have asked how to disable this monitoring.
