How To Create a Dynamic Asymmetric Selection in a Planning Analytics Workspace Exploration

How To

Summary

The aim is to create an exploration that has an asymmetric selection in columns, where a Version dimension is nested with the Year dimension.

The member of the Version dimension that is displayed for each Year member is determined by a value in an assumption cube. When the value in the assumption cube changes, the exploration automatically updates.

This technote details how to write an MDX view statement that fulfills this requirement.
