Environment

  • Microsoft Active Directory 
  • AZURE

Steps

•    Please download the file by clicking on Code (green button) > Download zip, from the document located in Github: Search for “GitHub - CSS-Identity/ADFS-Diag: Microsoft Customer Support Services for Active Directory Federation Service repository”
•    Download and unzip the file local on the Windows ADFS server. 
•    Open an elevated PowerShell and enter the command “cd path of downloaded file” as shown in the below image. 
•    Run the following command “.\ADFS-tracing.ps1" 
•    Select Yes to any warnings and permissions. 
•    Select Runtime tracing and browser the destination of the file to save it.
•    Press ctrl + Y to start the trace
•    Follow the instructions on the screen and try to replicate the issue. 
•    Press ctrl+Y to stop the trace
