Problem

How to copy the entire Content Store to another Cognos Analytics server of the same version

Resolving The Problem

To export the content store of Server A and import the content store into Server B

1. On Server A log in to Cognos as an administrator and select Manage

2. Select Administration console

3. Navigate to Configuration and then Content Administration

4. Click on New export

5. Specify the name of the deployment, the description and screen tip, then click Next

6. Specify the deployment method and then click Next

7. Confirm the package content and click on Next to begin the deployment

7. To import this deployment into Server B, copy the exported deployment in a zip format from the deployment folder on Server A to the deployment folder on Server B

8. Repeat steps 1-3 on Server B

9. Select New Import

10. Select the deployment and click Next

11. Follow the prompts to import the deployment
