- Asking Questions during the WebEx Event
1. Joining the WebEx event and signing in
- Access the WebEx Event using the URL and event number included in your IBM Security Support Open Mic webcast invitation.
- Enter a name and email address when prompted. The name you enter will be your display name for the WebEx Event. Only the IBM host and panelists are able to see your display name. Your email address will not be visible.
- If required, enter the password for the event that is included in the Open Mic webcast invitation.
2. Connecting to Audio
- Once signed in, the following dialog box will display to connect to Audio either through your computer or by phone.
- For a list of global call-in numbers when you join the event's audio conference, click "I Will Call In" from the Use Phone drop-down, then click All global call-in numbers. Or, from the Event Info screen, click Show all global call-in numbers.

- Note: The phone number, Access Code and Attendee ID are unique to the event. The info in the above image is intentionally obscured to prevent incorrect information from being entered for a real event you are attending.
- If you would like to switch your audio connection during the event, or you are not presented with the first Audio Connection dialog box when you join the event, you can use the Communicate > Audio Connection... menu option in WebEx.
1. Use "Call Using Computer" to connect audio through your computer speakers and microphone. Ensure your computer speakers and microphone are not muted so you can hear the audio and so the panelists can hear your question when the IBM host un-mutes your line if you decide to ask a question over the phone.
2. Use "I Will Call In" to connect audio through your phone. When you use this option, the following dialog will display with a phone number for you to Call, an Access Code, and an Attendee ID. Be sure to enter all three items on your phone when prompted to ensure your WebEx Event log-in and Audio connection are synched.
3. Use "Call Me" to have the WebEx Event call you. A new Audio Connection dialog will appear, in which you are to provide your phone number.

3. Asking Questions during the WebEx Event
You have two options to ask questions during the WebEx Event:
- Use the convenient Q&A functionality that's located in the right-hand panel of the WebEx user interface to type in your question. Panelist answers will display directly below your question.
- Use the Raise Your Hand option (hand icon) in the right panel. The IBM Host will un-mute your line when the panelists are ready to take questions over the phone after the presentation. Ensure that your microphone is not muted so panelists can hear your question when the IBM host un-mutes your line.
