How to collect Bug report for Android device

How To


Summary

This document contains the steps to collect Bug Report for Android device. This is required for issues related to Android Enterprise issue or scenarios where MaaS App is crashing and the users are unable to collect MaaS App logs.

Steps

1. Be sure you have Developer Options enabled. Follow the steps to enable it -
  •  On Android 4.1 and lower, the Developer Options  is available by default. For Android 4.2+ devices you must enable this as follows -
    • Open Settings App
    • (For Android 8.0+ only) Select System
    • Scroll to the bottom and select About Phone
    • Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times
    • Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom
    • At the top of the Developer options screen you can toggle the options on and off.

2. In Developer options tap Take/Submit bug report
3. Select the type of bug report you want and tap Report. After a moment you get a notification that the bug report is ready
4. To share the bug report , tap the notification
