How to Clear a hung session (SCI85448)
Cause
Answer
1. Issue a ceuacq to determine the SID to be terminated.
- issue a cmustop -s <sid>? where <sid> is the session id number for the the session in question
- issue a cmusession to determine is the session (SID#) has terminated
2. If the CMUSTOP -s# does not terminate the session,
- issue the? cmusession command to? find the Process ID (PID) associated with the Session ID (SID)
- issue a kill -15 <PID#>? ? where <PID#> is the process ID of the session to be killed.?
- issue a cmurefresh
3. Otherwise Recycle the protocol? daemon associated with the hung sessions
- Cmusession
- cmustop -s? <protocol daemon Session ID>
- Restart the protocol daemon? "Reference YOUR ceustartup script for the proper parameters.
- issue a cmurefresh
? 4. Last resort:
- recycle Connect:Enterprise
- cmushutdown
- ceustartup or ceustartup.trace
