Problem

How to check in a .p7b certificate

Symptom

A .p7b file is a group of certificates called a "certificate chain". It includes a base certificate, and a series of certificates leading back to a certificate authority such as Verisign. For the purpose of setting up an AS2 partner relationship, a .p7b file can be checked in as a Trusted certificate for use as the Exchange and Signing certificate, or as a CA certificate for use in connecting to a partner's SSL server. The base or top level certificate can be used like any other trusted or CA certificate within GIS.
