Checking the status of Solr to see whether it is running.

Steps

You can use the following command that lists the status of Solr running. The Solr status script is located in the bin directory, so make sure you are in the correct directory before running the script.

../bin/solr status

You can also use the Admin Console to check the status of Solr. You can use the following URL to launch Admin Console.

http://localhost:8983/solr/

If the Solr is not running, then an error will be displayed that it cannot connect to the Solr. You can check the port number and try again.
