This document describes the way to change a partition ID.
Steps
To change a partition ID on a POWER system, there are two options:
1. Partition Mobility: Allows the user to specify the partition id on the target. Performing a "round trip" migration to another server and back; specifying the new partition id on the migration can be used to alter the partition id.

2. Create a new partition with a unique partition ID.
Note: Specifying an override to the set the partition ID may be required.
There are no other means to change a partition ID.
