Problem
This document explains how to modify IBM i partition IPL parameters such as IPL source and Keylock position using HMC Version 7.
Resolving The Problem
IBM i partition IPL parameters are a partition property (not a profile property). To view or modify the IPL parameters using HMC Version 7, you should do the following:
1. In the Navigation panel, expand Systems Management, expand Servers, and select the server. The work panel will display a list of partitions:
2. Select the partition, select Tasks, and then select Properties. The partition properties panel will be displayed. Note: You can also access the properties by clicking on the partition name, clicking Properties in the task panel, or by clicking Properties on the >> button next to the partition.
3. On the partition properties panel, select the Settings tab. This panel shows the current setting. To modify a setting, click the down arrow and select the new setting, then click OK. The setting will go into effect on the next IPL:
