Question: How to Change the From Email Address within SSM (VSM) Admin - Properties?
Answer:
Log in and navigate to VSM > Administration > Properties > Email > Messages and check the email address for 'Send Mail As'. The email highlighted in the screenshot 'admin@emptoris.com' can be changed, however the changes cannot be carried out from the UI and they need to be carried out by making changes to a property in the server.xml file.
Affected version: Version 10.0.2.2
Steps:
- Change the the property of "rivermine.mail.sender" which can be found in server.xml file from admin@emptoris.com to xxxx@xyz.com.
For Example
- Go to Below Location in SSM Server
/opt/emptoris/apps/xxxxxx_xxxxxx_xxx/perm/SSM/gateway/config/cells/cell_gateway/nodes/node_gateway/servers/gateway
- Access server.xml
- Search for Property "rivermine.mail.sender"
- Updated the email address to sxxxx@xyz.com. from admin@emptoris.com"
