How can I search a range of dates in Visual Search in i2 Analyst's Notebook?

Summary

I have charted some iBase data onto an i2 Analyst's Notebook chart. My link labels include a date.
I would like to use Visual Search to highlight all links within a range of dates. How can I do that?

Steps

In this example, we'll use the date of a "Telephone Call" link type, in our iBase example database "User Guide".

  1. In iBase, set a Charting Scheme.  In that charting scheme, find the link type you want to search, and click "Add".

  2. Expand the Telephone Call folder and set the Date to the Start Date of the call, do the same for the Time option underneath, but choose Start Time.

  3. Ensure the modified charting scheme is selected (Association Data in our example) and click the OK button to chart your data.

  4. The data is now on the i2 Analyst's Notebook chart.  Open Visual Search, ensure you are on the Linked Entities tab, on the left side of the dialog, choose "Date" under the Date and Time option, then "Between". Enter your 2 dates.  Click OK.

  5. The result should be a dialog advising of the number of items that ‘matched’ the dates and they should all be selected on the chart.
