Is it possible to add a custom folder in the Favourites tab of IBM Content Navigator (ICN), with a Content Manager OnDemand backend?

Answer

Currently, there is no way to directly add a folder into the Favourites section. However, this functionality can be achieved using one of the following steps:

Create a custom context menu plugin:

This functionality can be added by writing a custom plugin for the context menu of the Favourites section. Current menus can be found in the Administration Desktop of ICN. Menus can be adjusted there, but new functions can only be added via a custom plugin.

Create a folder in the ICN repository and give it a name (For example - Favourites):

  • Right-click on the newly created folder.
  • Select 'Add to Favourites'.
  • Locate the new folder in the Favourites section.
  • The newly created folder can be right clicked and folders and files can be inserted.
