Question
How to add CRLF to a file that only has LF as record delimiter.
Cause
Unix files only have LF.
When they are zipped, ftp will not translate the delimiter to CRLF.
Answer
Options:
- Unzip the file and send it ASCII.
- Use UNIX utilities like sed to add CRLF before zipping up the file.
- Write a C program to write a CRLF as the delimiter before zipping the file up.
