How to access MAS using a different domain than the one defined in the suite CR?

How To

Summary

When IBM Maximo Application Suite is deployed, in the Suite Custom Resource, a domain name is specified. Based on this domain, routes will be created and this will define what urls can be used to access MAS and other applications.
It is possible to change the domain, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-change-domain-name-maximo-application-suite.
However it is not possible, out of the box, to configure MAS with multiple domain names.
As a possible workaround, you can use a reverse proxy to redirect the traffic to the existing domain.

This document provide an example on how you can achieve this using nginx deployed inside your ocp cluster.

This solution is provided as an example and as is.
