IBM Support

Hourly Rate for Crew Type is incorrect

Troubleshooting

Problem

The hourly rate shows as the average of the Craft rates instead of the sum of the Craft rates.

Symptom

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a new Crew Type in the Crew Types application.

2. Assign a new Craft (DRIVER) with a Craft record with the rate of $45.

3. Save the record. (Hourly rate correctly showing as 45).

4. Add a new Craft (HELPER) with a Craft record with the rate of 45.

5. Save the record. The hourly rate is incorrectly showing as 45 whereas it should be 90.

The behaviour described above shows the incorrect calculation (which is an average of the two Craft rates).

If I add a second Craft with a higher rate than the first, it averages the cost over the two.

CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: The hourly rate shows as the average of the two Craft rates.

EXPECTED RESULT: The hourly rate should be the sum of the two Craft rates.
