What are the maximum number of systems and partitions or lpars supported on the HMC?

Performance & Scale
With V10 R3 M1050, a single HMC can manage up to 48 systems & 2000 partitions across the systems being managed by HMC with minimum requirements as below:
16GB memory for 1 -500 partitions
32 GB memory for 500 -2000 partitions
For maximum number of systems and partitions or lpars when HMC is used in combination with CMC, PowerVC, VM HA/DR, please refer to the corresponding product documentation. For other configuration requirements refer to the Recovery media version readme for you version and for Virtual HMC Appliance, please refer to Installing the HMC virtual appliance
