Answer
Hazardous Attribute Processing in XML
Parcel shippers can use Order XML to submit HazardousMaterial processing attributes to Sterling TMS.
Inthe Order XML send the attributes as user-defined references withinthe shipping unit loop:
- Specify the attribute in the <Type> tag.
- Enter the value for each attribute in the <ID> tag.
Sterling TMS usesthe following process to map the user-defined references in the XMLto the fields on the Hazardous Materials Handling Information page.
Type | Description |
---|---|
HFLG | Sets the Hazardous flagto checked if the <ID> tag is set to Y. |
UQ | Populates the Identification Number withthe value in the <ID> tag. |
HNAM | Populates the Proper Shipping Name withthe value in the <ID> tag. |
HCLS | Populates the Hazardous Class withthe value in the <ID> tag. |
