Hardware requirements
The IBM? Intelligent Operations Center serversthat the IBM Traffic Information Hub isinstalled on top of must meet the minimum hardware requirements specifiedfor the IBM Intelligent Operations Center product.However if you plan to install the optional transportation prediction feature some additionalmemory resources are required. A temporary IBM Intelligent Transportation installation management server thatmeets the minimum hardware specification is also required. This serveris only required during the deployment process.
IBM Intelligent Operations Center hardwarerequirements
The hardware requirements of the IBM Intelligent Operations Center servers that the IBM Traffic Information Hub is installed ontop of are defined in the IBM Intelligent Operations Center InformationCenter. These are the minimum hardware requirements for installingthe IBM Traffic Information Hub.
Ifyou are installing the optional transportation prediction feature the following IBM Intelligent Operations Center servers requireadditional memory resources.

Installation management server hardwarerequirements
The IBM Intelligent Transportation installation management server canbe a physical hardware server or a virtual machine running on a VMware Server. It can also bea server in the cloud if the IBM Intelligent Operations Center environment is alsodeployed in the cloud.

- The /tmp folder on the IBM Intelligent Transportation installation management server musthave at least 35 GB of available space.
- Define the swap space to be twice the amount of the physical memory.For example if a server has 8 GB memory define 16 GB of swap space.
If you areinstalling the IBM Traffic Information Hub usingthe installer for version 1.0.1 Interim Feature 1 or later you canperform the installation from any of the IBM Intelligent Operations Center node servers providingall of the required services and applications are running. A dedicated installation management server canalso be used to run the installation but is not a mandatory requirementas it was in previous versions.
