Hardware and software requirements for IBM Spectrum Protect™ for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) version 8.1.6 which includes the following components:

- Data Protection for SAP HANA® V8.1.6

The following components are not updated to version 8.1.6

  • Data Protection for SAP® for Oracle V8.1.4
  • Data Protection for SAP® for DB2 V8.1.4

IBM Spectrum Protect™ for Enterprise Resource Planning supports valid SAP® environments that meet all requirements listed by SAP, and in addition also meet the specific requirements listed below.
 

Hardware and Software Requirements for Data Protection for SAP HANA® V8.1.6:

  • Hardware Requirements
  • Any SAP HANA® appliance or system with x86_64 or IBM POWER processor that meets the requirements defined by the SAP HANA® level in use with, and supported by, Data Protection for SAP HANA® 8.1.6
  • Minimum disk space: 300MB

  • Software Requirements
  • Operating system options:
    • on IBM POWER Big Endian processor
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3, and later service packs
    • on IBM POWER Little Endian processor
      • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 and later 7.x levels
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP1, and later service packs
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
    • on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3, and later service packs
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12
      • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
      • Red Hat Enterprise Server 6
      • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • SAP HANA® 1.0 support package stack SPS 10 up to SPS 12
    SAP HANA® 2.0 support package stack SPS 0 with revision 02 or higher revision or support package stack SPS 01 up to SPS 04

  • IBM Spectrum Protect™ API V8.1.2 or higher.
