IBM Spectrum Protect™ for Enterprise Resource Planning supports valid SAP® environments that meet all requirements listed by SAP, and in addition also meet the specific requirements listed below.

Hardware and Software Requirements for Data Protection for SAP® V8.1.0 for Oracle:

• Hardware Requirements
• Server as required by operating system (see below)
• Minimum RAM: 512 MB
• Minimum disk space: 500 MB

• Software Requirements
• Operating system options:

• AIX 7.1, and later TL levels and fix packs on IBM System p
  The gzip utility must be installed on the system and must be available in the PATH environment variable.
• AIX 7.2, and later TL levels and fix packs on IBM System p
  The gzip utility must be installed on the system and must be available in the PATH environment variable.
• Solaris 11, and later mod levels and fix packs on SPARC server
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, and later service packs on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12, and later service packs on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, and later update levels on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, and later update levels on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2, or later Service Pack levels: on EM64T and Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor

• SAP® BR*Tools v7.40
• 64-bit Oracle 11gR2, and later mod levels and fix packs at a level required by the respective SAP release
• 64-bit Oracle 12c, and later mod levels and fix packs at a level required by the respective SAP release
  Note: Plugable databases are not supported

• IBM Spectrum Protect™ API v7.1.3 or higher.

  Only 64-bit versions are supported.
• IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 10.1, and later fix packs
• IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 10.5, and later fix packs
• IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 11.1, and later fix packs
  Note: DB2 pureScale is not supported

• IBM Spectrum Protect™ API v7.1.3 or higher.

• Any SAP HANA® appliance or system with x86_64 or IBM POWER processor that meets the requirements defined by the SAP HANA® level in use with, and supported by, Data Protection for SAP HANA® 8.1.0
• Minimum disk space: 300MB

• Software Requirements
• Operating system options:
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3, and later service packs on IBM POWER processor
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3, and later service packs on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• Red Hat Enterprise Server 6 on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 on Intel EM64T or Opteron AMD64 or compatible processor
  
• SAP HANA® 1.0 support package stack SPS 10 up to SPS 12
