Problem
On some Security Network Protection (XGS) 4100 and 3100 models, hardcoding the M1 interface might not work.
Symptom
When hardcoding speed and duplex on the M.1 interface in the Management Interfaces policy, the specified settings do not work and you see an error message in the messages file similar to the following:
Sep 1 11:23:33 mesa_config: Cannot set new settings: Invalid argument
Sep 1 11:23:33 kernel: igb 0000:01:00.0: Cannot change link characteristics when SoL/IDER is active.
Sep 1 11:23:33 mesa_config: not setting speed
Sep 1 11:23:33 mesa_config: not setting duplex
Sep 1 11:23:33 mesa_config: not setting autoneg
