Handshake error when using SSL with JBoss EAP

Troubleshooting

Problem

After configuring your JBoss EAP environment for SSL, the repository server fails to start and the server log includes handshake_failure error messages.

Symptom

The server log includes messages similar to the following:
WARNING [org.apache.cxf.phase.PhaseInterceptorChain] PhaseInterceptorChain (Thread-96) Interceptor for {http: //xml.spss.com/security/wsdl}CapabilityInformationService#{http: //xml.spss.com/security/wsdl}getVersion has thrown exception, unwinding now: org.apache.cxf.interceptor.Fault: Could not send Message.
