Problem

GXS ICS FTP Adapter not working with IE FTP which is the old IBM connection

Symptom

Using the GXS mailboxes for IE FTP which is the old IBM connection.

When trying to send a EDI message the following error occured : 553 Invalid Destination System [    ]  Acct[*]  Userid[*] Class[SEND

Resolving The Problem

Edit the Quote commands in the GxsIcsFtp_Process_Service as follows:

For FTP PUT amend the QUOTE command to xpath "concat('CWD ,/ProcessData/GXSparameters/USER/text(),'/EDI')"

For FTP GET amend the QUOTE command to xpath "concat('CWD ',/ProcessData/GXSparameters/USER/text(),'/*')"

Another problem was that the initial certificates from GXS were for the wrong mailbox, which means that when sending a file (FTP PUT), the user defined in the certificate is used to identify the mailbox and the user used to sign in to the FTP service is ignored.
