Graphical Scheduling Resource Hours Use the Calendar Shift Start and End Time to Calculate Resource Hours

Troubleshooting

Problem

In the Graphical Scheduling application, when looking at the total available hours for the resources for a graphical scheduling record, the total hours could be wrong.
In this example, the Start Time is 7 AM and the End Time is 3 PM, for a total of 8 hours.  The Work Hours Field was changed to 7 hours total to show that while the shift is 8 hours they are only available for 7 hours of work time.

In the Graphical Scheduling application when looking at the Resources section, we can see that it shows 8 hours available.

Symptom

Mismatch of resources hours between different Graphical Scheduling applications.  The Graphical Work Week application uses the total hour's value, while the Graphical Scheduling application uses the Start and End time for the shifts listed in the calendar.  It was confirmed this is the design of both applications and not a bug.
Here is an example of what is seen in Graphical Work Week, notice that it displays 8 hours (this is based on total work hours for the shift)

Resolving The Problem

Keep this in mind when using the different applications, some use the total work hours and others use the start and end time for the shifts.
