The customer needs to do the mount in question with RW, not RO.
CACCAT and CACINDX are the Classic Meta Data Catalog files. We need both read (for catalog queries, such as 'SELECT * FROM SYSIBM.SYSTABLES', etc.) and write (from DDL for updating/creating new entries). The catalog is only updated by operations that usually originate from CDA (I.e. mapping a table), but can also occur from DDL that we receive from the metadata utility

NOTE: We also find the error of RC of 0x0071001D might be caused by the same issue. Please check to see how the filesystem is mounted if you get this return code.
