Problem
After upgrading the Oracle datasource database from 11.0.1 to 11.0.3.11 the JDBC datasource connection stopped working. Testing the connection failed with the following error messages: XQE-DS-006 Unable to logon to the datasource. ORA-01034: ORACLE not available ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Symptom
Testing the JDBC datasource connection failed with the following error messages:
XQE-DS-006 Unable to logon to the datasource.
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
DBA is able to connect to the database using sqlplus
