Getting a syntax error: unexpected token ')', expected 'expression' in iloiterator.h when compiling with /permissive- command line option in Microsoft Visual Studio 2017

Problem

On Windows machines, if you compile a project using CPLEX 12.8.0 libraries in Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 with the /permissive- command line option, you will get a syntax error: unexpected token ')', expected 'expression' in iloiterator.h at line 88.

Symptom

You will be getting a syntax error like below:
