Getting Started with ZTEA

Adopting IBM Zero Trust Execution for AIX (ZTEA) requires an initial consulting phase (Phase 1) followed by a subscription phase (Phase 2). Phase 1 consists of a ZTEA consultant providing consultative assistance with deploying ZTEA across the number of AIX LPARs that you request. Phase 1 Description - Consulting Phase

Consultative assistance provided for configuration, and on-going administration of ZTEA on stated number of AIX LPARs
Consultative assistance provided for configuration, and on-going administration of PowerSC for ZTEA monitoring on stated number of AIX LPARs
Licensed copy of ZTEA provided for the stated number of LPARs for the duration of the contract
All corresponding PowerSC licensing and support obtained by the client

Phase 2 - ZTEA Subscription

After phase 1 is complete, an organization continuing to use ZTEA would obtain a yearly-based ZTEA Subscription in order to receive continued licensed access to ZTEA, ZTEA code updates and technical support for ZTEA. The list price for a ZTEA Subscription is the following:

The first 50 cores, of any type, or less is $5,000 USD
Every core above 50 is either $20 or $30 per core, depending on the system tier of the core
For any core above 50, $20 is the price for a core belonging to a small or medium tier system.
For any core above 50, $30 is the price for a core belonging to a high tier system
High tier systems examples are
- Power11: E1180
- Power10: E1080
- Power 9: E980
Small and medium tier system examples:
- Power 10: 1050, 1024, 1022, 1014 (all systems except the 1080)
- Power 9: all systems except the 980
