You will receive assistance from IBM? in getting startedwith IBM SterlingConfigure Price Quote on Cloud.The sequence of tasks that need to be performed by your company administratorare described in this topic.

- You can register with Sterling Customer Center by browsingto https://cn.sterlingcommerce.com/login.jsp. This URL is also provided in your WelcomeLetter.
- Using the login credentials provided in the email from the IBM Onboarding teamlog in to Sterling Customer Center.For more information about completing your registration click Help fromthe upper right corner of the Welcome screen.
- From the Sterling Customer Center Welcome screenselect the required option in the Administration panel.The configurations that can be performed and other details that canbe viewed in this panel are as follows:
- My Account - Click this option to view the user details suchas contact information of the logged in user display settings suchas language time zone and home page details access status of thesubscribed application notifications received and notes added bythe user.
- My Company - Click this option to view details of your companysuch as name address contact information for the company statusof the subscribed application and notes added by the user.
- Manage Users - Click this option to search for registered usersview and modify the details of those users.
- Manage Companies - Click this option to search for the registeredcompanies view and modify the details of those companies. You canalso add a new company from this option.
- Manage Applications - Click this option to view all the applicationsthat you are currently subscribed to view and modify the detailsof those applications. You can also subscribe to an application fromthis option.
- Manage Products - Click this option to view all the products thatare currently available. You can view and modify the details of thoseproducts and also subscribe to a product from this option.
- Based on the user role of the logged in user for example SystemAdministrator Company Administrator or Company User only some ofthe options may be available for viewing or configuring in the Administration panel.For more information about the options available in the Administration panelclick Help from the upper right corner of the Welcome screen.
- Buttons for English and localized languages are displayed abovethe Sterling Customer Center Login panel.If you select one of these localized languages your display languagewill be set to that language and any screens and services that havebeen localized can be viewed in the display language you selected.The default display language is English. If you select any other languagefrom the available options you can return to English by either clickingthe English button in the Sterling Customer Center or within Sterling Customer Center editthe display settings from the My Account screen.For more information about the options available in the Administration panelclick Help from the upper right corner of the Welcome screen.
Accessing the Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud service
- Log in to Sterling Customer Center bybrowsing to https://cn.sterlingcommerce.com/login.jsp.You can also add this to your Favorites list in your Web browser.
- Enter your login credentials in the Login panel.You will be directed to your Sterling Customer Center Welcome screen.
- Select the Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud servicethat you have subscribed to from the My Applications panel.You now have access to any other on Cloud solutions you have subscribedto. This includes the online documentation libraries and customersupport information without having to log in again.
Using the Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud service
Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud users (SalesRepresentatives) can use the Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud functionalityin Sterling Field Sales througheither of two connections:
- Direct connection to Sterling Field Sales through Sterling Customer Center.
- Connection through Salesforce.com.
Using Salesforce.com
Sterling Field Sales is integratedwith Salesforce.com. A new tab Quotes is createdin Salesforce.com. When this tab is selected the Sterling Field Sales applicationis invoked and the Quotes home page is displayedenabling users to work on quotes as they would normally do in a non-integrated Sterling Field Sales application.The difference is when working in integrated mode the opportunityfunctionality is no longer available from Sterling Field Sales; this functionalityis available from the Opportunities tab instead.Opportunities are managed from the Opportunities tabin Salesforce.com. To enable users to view a list of the Sterlingquotes that are associated with an opportunity a new related list SterlingQuotes is added to the Opportunity Detail screenin Salesforce.com. The primary quote for an opportunity is identifiedby a check mark and the products that are contained in the primaryquote are displayed in the Products relatedlist on the same Opportunity screen. When a Salesforce.comuser clicks the quote name in the Sterling Quotes relatedlist the Sterling Field Sales applicationis accessed transparent to the user. The related list also containsa New Sterling Quote button which enablesa user to create a new quote for the opportunity using Sterling Field Sales functionality.
Moreinformation on using Salesforce.com and Sterling Field Sales is providedon the IBM informationcenter. Click Help in the Quotes tabin Sterling Field Sales andto view the IBM informationcenter. Select Using Salesforce.com in the IBM information center.
Administering the Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud service
The Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud administratorcan perform various administration tasks including configuring theuser interface setting up users customization and so on. All theadministration tasks are performed in Sterling Business Center. Usergroups are a collection of users who can perform a similar task. Asingle user can belong to multiple user groups.
The pre-configureduser groups that are available in this release of the applicationare as follows:
- Enterprise Administrator - This user group has access to functionsrelated to user administration.
- Pricing Manager - This user group has access to functions relatedto pricing administration.
- Product Manager - This user group has access to functions relatedto item administration.
- Field Sales Representative - This user group has access to functionsrelated to managing the needs of the customers and the orders thatthey place.
As an administrator you can perform certain tasks to utilizethe functionalities provided by Sterling Business Center and Sterling Field Sales. The followingtable describes the set of tasks which a pre-configured user groupcan perform. The table also lists the guides that provide assistancein performing these tasks. This information is also available in the IBM information center.
