Getting sqlcode -440 or -444 when calling a DB2 LUW stored procedure from DB2 z/OS

Problem

When calling a DB2 LUW stored procedure from DB2 on z/OS, error -440 or -444 is returned indicating the stored procedure cannot be found on LUW.
