Problem
This document explains how to get a list of objects not saved during a BRMS save because of locks.
Resolving The Problem
When saving data via BRMS, whether doing a Save-While-Active or not, it is possible that some objects will be locked and cannot be saved.
At V5R4M0 and above, it is possible to have BRMS create a missed object list and control group that will list all the objects not saved.
Missed object policy . . . . . . . . . . *BKUPCY Name, *NONE, *BKUPCY
Clear missed objects . . . . . . . . *NO *NO, *YES
Specifies the name of backup control group and lists used to track missed objects during backup control group processing. If the backup control group or lists do not exist, these will be created using the same attributes as the current backup control group.
At prior releases, the only option available for library objects is to run the following command:
WRKOBJBRM SAVSTS(*ERROR)
There are different parameters you can specify to narrow the list down because this is cumulative.
